Katherine Armstrong, DVM
Dr. Armstrong is a 1979 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing in Atlanta for 3 years, she founded Monroe Animal Hospital in 1983 and Weddington Animal Hospital in 1999. Her special interests are dentistry and dermatology. She lives in Monroe with her Great Pyrenees-Chester, and her husband Larry. In her spare time she enjoys skiing and hiking.

Aaron Luckey, DVM
Dr. Luckey is originally from Indiana, but moved to Charlotte in 2000. He has a BS in Biology from the University of Findlay in Ohio, and he obtained his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee. He has 3 dogs - Clarence, Daisy, & Graham . Dr. Luckey also has 1 cat - Cheddar. Dr. Luckey also has four children, Landon, Lillie, Eli and Avyn.

Elizabeth George, DVM
Dr. George (formerly Dr. Wemple) is originally from Chicago, Illinois but moved to North Carolina in 2007 where she attended North Carolina State University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude while earning a BS in Animal Science with a Minor in Genetics in 2011. She continued to be a part of the Wolfpack Family by attending North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine where she obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2015. In her spare time, Dr. George enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2 dogs - Twiggy and Osiris while exploring all that Monroe and Charlotte have to offer.

Kenan started working at Monroe Animal Hospital when she was a senior at Piedmont High School. After she graduated in 1998, she attended American Business & Fashion Institute where she received a degree in Medical and Health Office Technology. After working as a veterinary assistant for 9 months, she expressed interest in the receptionist position. She was the head receptionist for 6 years before being promoted to Office Manager in 2005, and Practice Manager in 2009. She loves her job, and working with a great team! In her spare time she is very active in her church and loves spending time with her husband, her daughter Karsyn, her son Ryder.

Carrie was born in South Carolina. She moved to North Carolina as a toddler. She graduated from high school and went on to North Carolina State University graduating in 1995 with a BS in Animal Science. While in school she worked at a cat clinic. In 1997 her husband started his own business and they moved back to Charlotte. In the fall of 1997 she began working at Sharon Lakes Animal Hospital becoming head receptionist in 1998. She came to Monroe Animal Hospital in 2006 as head receptionist, and was promoted to Office Manager in 2009. Working in Monroe gives her the opportunity to be close to home and her son, Aaron.

Jennifer is originally from South Boston, Virginia, but moved to Monroe at the age of 13. She attended North Carolina State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Animal Science. She has been working at Monroe Animal Hospital since August of 1996, and is interested in all areas of Veterinary Medicine. In her time away from the clinic she has her own pet sitting business, which brings her a lot of joy. She has an assortment of animals which include: 3 Border Collies, 1 Ferret, 5 Cats, a Rabbitry, and 1 Chinchilla. Along with spending time with her pets, husband, and daughter, Emma, she enjoys cross-stitching, jewelry making, and has been a NASCAR junkie since the age of 5.

Erica started working at Monroe Animal Hospital in 1999. After working as a kennel assistant for a short time, she is now a veterinary nurse. She also works with the inventory and accounting areas of the hospital. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, daughter and animals. Her animals consist of 3 dogs, 2 birds, 2 snakes.

Mike is a Union County native who enjoys spending time with his family and working out. He is a marine veteran and is very excited to be in the veterinary field. He does a lot of the weekend treatments with the patients that are boarding or hospitalized. Mike started working at our sister clinic, Weddington Animal Hospital, in 2009 before coming here to Monroe full-time.

Cheri is a Certified Veterinary Technician who has been with us since 2002. She graduated in 1996 from Morehead State University with an Associates Degree of Applied Science. Married to her husband Cody since 1996, they have two girls- Cheyenne and Alexandra. Cheri loves cats and has four of her own, Beau, Wade, Savannah & Snowflake. Her years of experience are mostly in small animal practice, but include two and a half years working with Internal Medicine Specialists. She loves teaching and training others in the veterinary field.
